Marian Taulescu is ECVP board certified pathologist and currently works as an Associate Professor in Veterinary Pathology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UASVM Cluj-Napoca (Romania), having 12 years of experience in the field of veterinary pathological anatomy. He graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of UASMVCN (Romania) in 2007 and a PhD in Gastric pathology in dogs and cats in 2011. After completing a residency program at the School of Veterinary Medicine of Milan, he became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP) in 2018. In 2019 he opened the first ECVP residency training center in Romania and he is Director of the training program for the ECVP board examination at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca. He has a keen interest in research, which is reflected by numerous research projects in which he was involved as a member or manager, international publications and books. His main research interests include chronic inflammation, chronic gastritis and gastric cancer in dogs and cats, urinary bladder cancer in cattle, lung cancer in animals, tissue regeneration and toxicological pathology. Dr. Marian Taulescu has more than 50 published papers in various peer-reviewed journals and he is author of 2 book chapters published by prestigious international publishing houses.
