After qualifying from the University of Parma (Italy) in 1997, Ezio spent two years in general
practice. In 2000 he returned to academia where he received a research fellowship for a study on
electrodiagnostic tests in neurologic disorders and started working as a junior neurologist for the
Veterinary Teaching Hospital (OVUD) of the University of Parma.
In 2012 he obtained a three-year ECVN approved residency in Neurology/Neurosurgery at the
University of Bologna. He successfully passed the examination for the Diploma of the European
College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN) in 2015.
He is currently associate professor of the Department of Veterinary Science of the University of
Parma. Apart from teaching and research activity, Ezio is involved in clinical activity as a senior
neurologist of the neurology/neurosurgery service of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (OVUD).
