Oscar graduated in Spain from the University of Extremadura in 2013. After that, he completed a one-year rotating internship at the same institution. Following on from this he worked at the University Alfonso X El Sabio (Madrid) as anaesthesia clinician for 2 and a half years. In March 2017 Oscar joined the Small Animal Teaching Hospital in Liverpool as an intern in small animal anaesthesia. Oscar undertook a standard residency program in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia at the same institution. Oscar now works at Northwest Veterinary Specialists in the United Kingdom as anaesthesia specialist after passing his board exams and become European specialist in Veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia in 2021. Oscar´s main interests include anaesthesia in the critical patient, loco-regional anaesthesia and pain management. Oscar has a special interest in the enhancement of postgraduate anaesthesia teaching, including new graduates and nurses. Also, he is interested in the improvement of clinical outcomes in anaesthesia and team workflow.
